The economic crisis has by no means meant that employers are offering their employees fewer opportunities to work from home. The proportion of job advertisements offering home offices is 20 percent – the same high level as the previous year. This is shown by an analysis of 79 million online job advertisements by the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Job Monitor.
Employees in IT professions in particular benefit from the offer. Working from home is also widespread in male-dominated professions, and the potential for gender equality on the labor market is still too often untapped. The home office capital is Stuttgart.
