Knowledge of current professional skills requirements is essential, not least for labor market service providers such as the Federal Employment Agency (BA). In a recently published research report, the IAB, with the support of the BA’s IT system house, has analyzed the skills in demand in job advertisements in more detail. The new evaluation procedure makes it possible to track the status and development of the technical and interdisciplinary requirements listed there.
