The Konstanz home office study shows: The often desired additional day of home office would reduce around 19 percent of daily fuel consumption in Germany
The 19th survey wave of the Konstanz Home Office Study shows: If all commuters worked from home just one extra day a week, around 32 million liters of fuel could be saved in Germany every day – almost 19 percent of daily fuel consumption. The good news is that the necessary willingness is there, as employees on average want just this one extra day of working from home. At the same time, the results show that organizations that structure hybrid work now increase commitment and productivity. These are the key findings of the new Konstanz home office study by Florian Kunze and Kilian Hampel from the University of Konstanz.
